Recommended geometry
Mount about 2.0–2.5 m high, with a slight downward tilt so a person’s upper body sits in the middle of the frame.
Aim the PIR along the path people walk, not straight at a road or a neighbor’s yard.
Avoid pointing into sunrise or sunset. Backlight and heat sources create noise.
The diagram shows a useful height and aim. The product photos show the finished camera.
What to avoid
Do not watch a yard through glass. PIR does not see through it, and the lens will catch reflections.
Do not sit the camera over an A/C unit, vent, or hot metal roof.
Point the solar wall camera’s panel at open sky. The 4G wall camera is ready once it is plugged in.
Check it in the app
Walk the detection path in daylight and confirm a notification when a person enters the frame.
If you only see feet or sky, change the bracket tilt before raising sensitivity.
